The Oaks care home has just completed a major refurbishment.

At the Oaks we offer 27 single rooms and 3 shared rooms, all rooms have En-suite toilets and sinks. All rooms have nurse call bells, televisions with built in DVD players and thermostatically controlled radiators.

In additions to individual en-suite facilities there are 2 shower rooms and 2 full sized bathrooms all of which have toilet facilities. One of the bathrooms has a hairdresser sink. Each toilet is furnished with grab rails & the baths are accessed by hydraulic hoists.

All communal areas are centrally heated, have fire detection and nurse call systems. There is a stretcher sized lift providing access to all floors. There is a large garden area for residents to enjoy.

We have a large lounge area, and dining room and a garden room. Each room has individual thermostatically controlled heating, smoke detection, nurse call system, TV aerial points and telephone points can be connected to offer a number of different levels of service.

All meals are home cooked using fresh local produce.

In addition we have a visiting hairdresser (weekly - additional charge), chiropodist (6-8 weekly - additional charge) and a GP clinic is held at the home weekly although residents can choose to keep their own GP if their surgery will visit the home.
